Excursions & Trips
Periodically throughout the year, LGLA provides structured opportunities for members and their guests to spend more time getting to know each other on casual trips or outings, such as our Theatre Party Nights, Law Student events, Dodger Games or summer 2009’s Diana Krall picnic evening at the Hollywood Bowl.
Monthly MeetingsOn the second Tuesday of every month, LGLA holds its monthly Board of Governors meeting, with interested members, and periodic guest speakers. Members are encouraged to attend and discover the inner-workings of LGLA, its Executive Committee and other LGLA Volunteer Committees that keep the organization moving and make the membership so interesting and rewarding.
Law Student Mentorship ProgramLGLA’s William J. Clayton Mentorship Program was founded in 2002, and establishes mentor/mentee relationships between LGLA member attorneys and area law students. Mentors provide advice, counsel, and guidance to law students, contributing to the development of a strong LGBT legal community.
Event MixersLGLA sponsors after-work Happy Hour Mixers, often held jointly with other LGBT community organization, providing a relaxed atmosphere for getting to know members and their guests, exchanging business cards, and meeting new people.
